Public Notice- Town of Bowling Green & U.S. Army Fort Walker Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA) Signing Ceremony

This notice is provided pursuant to VA Code § 2.2-3707. Two or more members of the Bowling Green Town Council may attend the following event:

The Town of Bowling Green & U.S. Army Fort Walker Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA) signing ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 1:30pm-2:30pm, located at the Bowling Green Town Hall, 117 Butler Street, Bowling Green, VA 22427.

More information regarding the exciting IGSA partnership is included below:

Members of the public are cordially invited to attend the signing ceremony for the Intergovernmental Support Agreement between the Town and Fort Walker. The agreement enables the Town to provide procurement support services to the Fort and receive an administrative fee in return. The signing ceremony will occur at Town Hall, which is a symbol of the Town’s fruitful partnership, as Town Hall is an historic USO building donated to the Town by the U.S. Army. The Honorable Mayor for the Town of Bowling Green, Mark Gaines, and the Commander of Fort Walker, Commander Duffy, will sign the document publicly after brief remarks.
